2008
Lurita Alexis Doan
Lurita Alexis Doan, head of the General Services Administration, resigned on May 1, 2008. At the time of her resignation, Doan was the subject of numerous investigations. In a letter of June, 2007, Special Counsel Scott J. Bloch urged President Bush to discipline Doan "to the fullest extent," which included removing her from office.[1]
Alphonso Jackson
Alphonso Jackson, Housing and Urban Development Secretary, announced his resignation on March 31, 2008, effective April 18, 2008. Jackson was the target of multiple ethics investigations.[2]

John J. DiIulio Jr.
John J. DiIulio Jr., was appointed as the first director of the White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives by President Bush in early 2001. He quit in August 2001.
In an interview with Esquire magazine, Mr. DiIulio said: "There is no precedent in any modern White House for what is going on in this one: a complete lack of a policy apparatus. What you've got is everything, and I mean everything, being run by the political arm. It's the reign of the Mayberry Machiavellis."[3]
