Borrow and Steal Republicans

From dKosopedia

== Borrow and Steal Republican == A way of topping the all-too-pervasive "Tax and Spend Democrat" and showing how Republican political behavior has been consistently less socially and fiscally responsible than that of Democrats. Borrowing is a concept many citizens find a little suspect--they are unsure it is a legitimate activity of government--as can be seen by the popularity of the zero-deficit model. Steal draws attention to the constant undercurrent of stories about overpriced government contracts, and regulatory and legislative favors that cost taxpayers and benefit mega-corporations and seem to crescendo whenever Republicans hold power. By contrast, Taxing is generally accepted as an unpleasant necessity, and Spend carries at least the possibility of social benefit.
