Ken Lay and other energy problems

Economy

During the Republican convention, Arnold called Democrats "ecnomic girlie-men". This is the party that averaged a 5.3% annual increase in jobs for the over 12 years of President Franklin Delano Rossevelt. source

The crusader against "economic girlie-men" campaigned in Ohio for a President with a miserable economic record.

Education

During the debates Arnold promised that he wouldn't cut education. Almost immediately he proposed cutting the UC budget by $372 million to $2.67 billion, which had already been cut by close to $1 billion a year in the previous 3 years.

Budget

Despite massive spending cuts, and borrowing $15 billion in bonds, California is still an estimated $6.7 billion in the hole for 2005. Arnold has completely failed to balance the budget. Maybe he shouldn't have cost the state $4.3 billion a year by getting rid of the car tax.

Arnold took millions in money from NY bond companies to run ads for the $15 billion bonds that are favorable to NY bond companies at the expense of California taxpayers.

Bad positions

Arnold was against a proposition that would have changed the 3 strikes law only in the case of non-violent crimes. Thanks to his opposition, the proposition failed. Thanks to Arnold, people are still getting 25 years for crimes like stealing a slice of pizza

Special interests

During the recall election, Indian money and union money was considered special interests by Arnold, but millions of dollars from companies that broke environmental laws weren't.
