This is an illogical claim, little more than name-calling.

I agree that the one-line "article" was unworthy of being carried here. In fact, it diminishes one's credibility in all things when one is caught out even in one mistake. What was the name of the pol who claimed he had been "brainwashed" while in Vietnam? And who was the guy who's only mis-step was to give a wild hoot?
A major part of political discourse is to convince the people who do not already agree with you. Saying something ignorant may even turn your own side against you. Imagine how a Muslim scholar would react if somebody picked up the idea tha Amin al-Husayni was a Nazi and used that in public discourse. p0m 16:54, 11 May 2006 (PDT)
